The International Omega Society

Our Mission:

Nestled beneath the mist-shrouded peaks of Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai, Thailand, the International Omega Academy stands as more than just a school—it is a global sanctuary for intellectual excellence and social progress. In a world where educational systems often overlook the specific needs and potential of Omegas, IOA serves as the definitive leader in Omega Education. We believe that brilliance knows no secondary status, and we have dedicated our campus to fostering the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators.

By seamlessly blending a rigorous academic curriculum with profound advocacy, we empower our students to confidently challenge societal boundaries. Our tranquil northern sanctuary provides the ideal environment for students to discover their voices, refine their talents, and cultivate the resilience required to shape a more equitable, inclusive global future.

Upper Secondary Certificate Tracks

Science-Mathematics Track (วิทย์-คณิต)

This is a highly rigorous track focused on STEM fields. It is the best fit for students aspiring to pursue careers in medicine, engineering, technology, or pure sciences.

  • General Science-Math (วิทย์-คณิต): Designed for students aiming for university degrees in STEM fields, medicine, engineering, and allied health sciences.
  • Pre-Engineering / Pre-Medicine Focus (วิทย์-คณิต พิเศษ):
    • Pre-Medicine Elements: Enhanced emphasis on advanced biochemistry, human anatomy, genetics, and organic chemistry. Schools often partner with local university hospitals for observational field trips or basic clinical anatomy workshops (often colloquially referred to by students as "Cadaver Labs").

    • Pre-Engineering Elements: Heavy focus on advanced calculus, linear algebra, classical mechanics, fluid dynamics, and introductory computer science/robotics.

Arts Track (ศิลป์)

The Arts track focuses on languages, humanities, and social sciences.

  • Arts-Language (ศิลป์-ภาษา): Deep language immersion, conversational fluency, and grammar.
    • Languages offered: Chinese (ศิลป์-จีน), English (ภาษาอังกฤษ), French (ศิลป์-ฝรั่งเศส), German (ศิลป์-เยอรมัน), Japanese (ศิลป์-ญี่ปุ่น), Korean (ศิลป์-เกาหลี),  Latin (ละติน), Spanish (ศิลป์-สเปน), Tagalog (ภาษาตากาล็อก), Vietnamese (ภาษาเวียดนาม).
  • Arts-General / Arts-Social (ศิลป์-สังคม): Advanced sociology, political systems, world geography, civic education, history, and law.
  • Arts-Math (ศิลป์-คำนวณ): Advanced mathematics (same curriculum volume as the Science track) combined with intensive English, Thai, and Social Studies.

Life at the International Omega Academy

Scientia Potentia Nostra

"Phanapitak Founders Hall feels more like a high-tech corporate headquarters than a school building. The labs are better equipped than some university facilities. The Science-Maths curriculum is brilliant but brutal. By the time you reach your senior thesis defences in Term 2, you feel like a full-time researcher. Thankfully, the walk-in support at the Campus Tutoring Hall keeps most of us afloat."

Warut 'Prem' Chawalitrujiwong, Pre-Engineering Track

"The creative spaces are incredible. The acoustic design in the main pavilion, where the Jazz Band practices, is flawless, and the traditional theatre hall feels deeply historic yet perfectly modernised. Everything is immaculately maintained, funded by massive institutional endowments. The academy lakes are my favourite spot on the grounds, especially during the evening Loy Krathong festivities when the entire campus is illuminated. It feels entirely disconnected from the chaos of the city, shielded by strict perimeter checkpoints."

Napatsakorn 'Namping' Pingmuang, Arts-General Track

The sports fields are massive and pristine, which is crucial during the Kee-La See season when the entire grounds turn into a giant, hyper-competitive festival. The curriculum is designed to challenge boundaries from day one. The first assessment cycle in Term 1 hits you fast, but the school sets up the calendar perfectly to balance the heavy workload with cultural breaks, like the Songkran water ceremonies in the summer."

Panachai 'Junior' Sriariyarungruang, General Science-Math Track
